Job Overview
and Responsibilities
Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice and assist in their daily living.
Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
To assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care -Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.
Support individuals in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on care needs.
Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each resident.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as needed.
Requirements
An understanding of the needs of residents
An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in care level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable)
Experience of providing care (Desirable)
Experience of working with elders (Desirable)
Availability weekdays and weekends on a rota basis
