Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a supportive environment for individuals in need of assistance.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents in daily activities including meal preparation and feeding. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Foster positive relationships with residents through effective communication and companionship. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care environment by adhering to health and safety protocols. Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their comfort during transport. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Experience

Previous experience in a home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with residents and team members. Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and communicating within the team. A valid driving licence is compulsory for transporting residents. A caring attitude coupled with patience and empathy is essential for this role.
