We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within care homes and home care settings, ensuring they receive the highest standard of personalised care. Duties
Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Supporting clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
Helping clients with meal preparation and feeding, respecting dietary requirements
Implementing individualised care plans in accordance with organisational guidelines
Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing
Assisting with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals
Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
Driving between different care settings or client homes as required (where applicable)
Qualifications
Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations
Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with clients and team members
Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
