Helping mainly elderly people to stay in their own homes by assisting them with a wide range of services such as personal care, companionship, cooking meals and enjoying trips out makes a difference to their lives every single day and is immensely satisfying. The work is extremely varied - no two days are alike and you will find that you build fulfilling relationships with appreciative Clients.

Our Care Assistants enjoy working at Right at Home because:

We are a friendly and supportive place to work Minimum call times of 45 minutes - and most are an hour or more ! No rushing in or out to a client, have time to do what is needed. We offer you work within the hours you are available There is an opportunity to gain a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.


You will be able to add real value to the lives of vulnerable adults who rely heavily on our services and caring nature of our people.

Mileage pay at 40p per mile

Duties will include:

Motivating Clients to get the most out of their day Personal care Administering medication Assisting Clients with washing and dressing Shopping Housekeeping Meal preparation Taking Clients for appointments or outings

Requirements of a Care Assistant:

Must hold a full and valid UK or EU/EEA driving licence and have access to own vehicle Be able to offer availability either early mornings (from 7am), afternoon (from 2pm) or evening (from 4pm or 5pm) and every other weekend Commit to attending a 3-day training course Live locally to Bishop's Stortford, Takeley, Dunmow, Braintree and surrounding areas Have or be willing to obtain business vehicle insurance

If you have experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant or in the NHS we would love to hear from you. However, if you do not have experience, we provide full training and encourage candidates from all sectors to apply, for example: retail sales assistant, customer service, hairdressers/beauticians, receptionist, administrator, cleaners, warehouse workers and delivery drivers. This could be the start of your new career, with our full support and outstanding training, anything is possible if you put your head and heart into it.
