Evening Care Assistant - Towy Castle Care Home

12.60 per hour

Contract:

Permanent, Part-Time

Hours:

17.5 hours per week

Shifts:

5:00 PM - 10:00 PM | 3 shifts on, 3 shifts off (includes weekends and public holidays)

About Towy Castle

Set in three acres of stunning gardens overlooking the Towy estuary, Towy Castle is a 61-bed residential care home with a reputation for excellence in elderly and dementia care. Originally a grand mansion, the home combines historic charm with a warm, person-centred approach. With over 35 years of experience, our long-standing team works together to provide safe, dignified care in a homely setting.

Your Role

As an Evening Care Assistant, you'll support residents during the evening hours, helping them wind down and prepare for a restful night.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with evening personal care routines (washing, dressing, toileting) Supporting residents with mobility and helping them settle into bed Offering companionship and reassurance during a quieter part of the day Monitoring well-being and reporting any changes or concerns Maintaining a clean, calm, and homely environment throughout the shift

What We're Looking For

You'll be a great fit for this role if you are:

Kind, compassionate, and calm under pressure A good communicator with strong teamwork skills Adaptable and able to support residents with varying needs Reliable and professional in your approach to care Experienced in a care setting (preferred), though full training is provided
