A Home Instead Care Professional is a kind and friendly person, totally reliable, and compassionate with excellent communication skills. You will be working in a person\'s home, however the whole team provide support to you and the client. We are looking for someone who is happy to learn, contribute to the team, and can work under pressure when needed and will enjoy the rewards and responsibility.

Our dedicated team of Care Professionals provide the highest quality care. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a professional and friendly relationship with our client, their family, friends and others involved with their health and well-being
  • Personal Care - supporting with washing, dressing, grooming, continence care
  • Companionship - conversation and good company - assist with writing letters enjoying a chat
  • Activities - accompanying to outings and social events, and encourage hobbies and pastimes
  • Plan, prepare and cook nutritious food - rediscovering favourite family recipes
  • Medication - collecting prescriptions, medication reminders
  • Home help such as light housekeeping - ensuring their home is safe and tidy
  • Shopping, run errands and accompanying to appointments
  • Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client\'s quality of life
Care Assistant Benefits:
  • Excellent rate of pay \xc2\xa311.00 per hour Monday to Friday increasing to \xc2\xa312.50 per hour Saturday & Sunday. Double pay on bank holidays.

Qualifications

Care experience is preferable for this 20 hour a week position, but we will also provide full paid training so even if it has been a while since you worked in care or nursing, you will feel confident and well supported. Your passion for taking care of someone else, being friendly whilst staying professional and your references will show that you are reliable, trustworthy and respectful. Our clients may need support with mealtimes including making a proper meal (baking a cake would definitely be an asset!)

You must be over 18 and have a valid UK driving licence with access to transport, it is essential as many of our clients live in rural areas.
