Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those in their care, ensuring they receive respectful and personalised assistance. Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support clients in maintaining their independence by helping with household tasks. Follow individual care plans to deliver tailored support that meets each person's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Maintain accurate records of care provided, including any changes in condition or behaviour. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Use IT systems to update care records and report any concerns or incidents promptly. Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation.

Qualifications

Previous experience working in the community or home care setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving driving. Good command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and following digital care plans. Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and respond professionally. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating organisational skills and reliability.
