You must be able to
Provide a supportive service to relatives liaising with them on an ongoing basis.
Ensure that good communication is maintained with residents and relatives.
Encourage relatives to maintain regular contact and offer assistance as necessary.
Participate in the reception of new residents.
Provide a high standard of order in the Home and an atmosphere suitable for the physical, mental and spiritual needs of residents.
Ensure that all aspects of care for the residents is carried out in line with the Company's procedures and the individual care plans.
To maintain personal contact with individual residents, their relatives and sponsors.
Be responsible for medication administration of medicines if trained. Participate in and organise diversional therapies and social activities on a regular basis appropriate to the needs of the residents.
Encourage self-help and independence upholding the rights of each individual resident.
Perform escort duties as requested, ensuring all relevant information is passed on to the appropriate person at each stage of the escort.
Ensure that residents have adequate personal clothing, report any deficiencies.
Ensure that clothing is clearly marked. Return clean clothing to residents' rooms and assist the resident to keep wardrobes and drawers tidy as requested.
Assist in and supervise the preparation and serving of breakfasts.
