Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Support residents in following their individual care plans to ensure their specific needs are met.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on residents' conditions and needs.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Document care provided and any changes in residents' conditions accurately and promptly.
Engage residents in social activities to promote their mental and emotional well-being.
Drive residents to appointments or activities as necessary, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.
Qualifications
Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to ensure clear communication with residents and staff.
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes is advantageous.
Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
A valid driving licence is beneficial for transporting residents when required.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
