Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in their homes. Your primary focus will be on supporting clients with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to follow care plans diligently.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with medication, mobility and physical activities to enhance their independence. Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs as outlined in care plans. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the supervising staff. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Help maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is an advantage. Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with clients and their families. Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and documentation. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
