Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and medication management. Develop and maintain care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Drive residents to appointments or outings as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Adhere to health and safety regulations within the care home environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is preferred but not essential. Strong command of English, both spoken and written, is necessary for effective communication. Basic IT skills for maintaining documentation and accessing care plans are advantageous. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents when needed. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required. A caring nature with a passion for helping others is essential for success in this role.
