Holy Rosary Care Home is a serene and friendly residential/nursing home forming part of the Little Sisters of the Poor worldwide group. We, the Little Sisters of the Poor, are a registered charity here solely to serve the elderly in need. We have homes in 31 countries all following a similar model of family centred care with Sisters living within community on site. Our not-for-profit care model means, with your help we can focus on enabling the vulnerable elderly lead happier healthier lives in a real home setting.

Holy Rosary Care Home are currently recruiting for a Care Assistant. The home which is registered for up to 28 older people is situated in Greenock, Inverclyde.

We Offer



Starting salary of 19 838 per annum Regular, set shift pattern with a weekly rolling rota Modern purpose-built home near the banks of the Clyde in historic Greenock Well-equipped reception area for the 28 bed home with a care village style family setting Excellent road & rail links, just 17 miles from Glasgow international airport A not-for-profit setting where care of the elderly is our sole aim Free onsite parking, free meals on duty and workplace pension Hourly rate so all hours worked are paid Support from the Unit Sister, Clinical Lead, Nurses and HR

For this role you must



Experience as a care assistant (In the UK advantageous) Experience in a care home environment (advantageous) Flexibility around hours and days worked, includes weekend work, 35 hour contract Ability to cover holidays and absence Ensure compliance with national standards, legislation and professional guidance Have excellent spoken and written English
The post requires a PVG check, 2 references, and an occupational health check. You must be legally able to work in the UK. We cannot sponsor overseas applicants for this post.
