Job Summary

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our residents or clients by assisting them with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their independence. This position requires compassion, patience, and strong communication skills to effectively engage with those in your care.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities to promote independence. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff. Engage residents or clients in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being. Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with team members, families, and healthcare professionals regarding the care provided.

Skills

Preferably good English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients or travel between locations. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others and improve their quality of life. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
