Work as part of a team to support the physical, emotional, and social needs of each resident in a calm, respectful way.
Assist residents with personal care, including washing, bathing, hair washing, shaving, teeth cleaning, eating and drinking, using the toilet, and general mobility -- always encouraging independence where possible.
Record Keeping
Complete daily documentation, including daily reports, diet and fluid intake records, turning charts, and any other required notes to ensure continuity of care.
Report and record all accidents in the accident book, on handover sheets, and to the Manager or Senior on duty.
Meals & Nutrition
Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and drinks (including in-between meals).
Accurately record food and fluid intake on the appropriate charts.
Laundry & Clothing
Carry out laundry and ironing tasks, ensuring residents' clothing is kept in good condition.
Staff are responsible for replacing or covering the cost of any damage caused by neglectful laundering.
Housekeeping
Assist with cleaning tasks when required to help maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the home.
Health & Safety
Follow Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
Help ensure the home remains a safe and healthy environment.
Policies & Training
Adhere to the home's policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Take part in all required training opportunities.
Medication
Administer medication only after receiving the appropriate training.
Safeguarding
All staff have a duty of care to report any safeguarding concerns under the Whistleblowing Policy.
