We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in both home care and care home settings. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to drive to various locations as needed. The Care Assistant will support clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Drive to clients' homes or care facilities as required for service delivery. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care assistant role or similar position is preferred but not essential. A valid driving licence is required for this position. Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is advantageous. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial. Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively is desirable.
