Nightingale Court is a registered care facility dedicated to providing personal care for older individuals with dementia. We understand that transitioning to a new home, regardless of age, can be a challenging experience. Recognizing this, we have had the privilege of assisting numerous individuals who have taken this momentous step, and we truly understand that change is not always easy. That's why we are committed to providing the additional confidence, encouragement, and assistance needed during this transition period.
Responsibilities
Providing personal care, such as showering, shaving, oral hygiene and dressing, administering medication, monitoring health and wellbeing, maintaining records and reporting any changes, assisting with meal preparation, and providing emotional support and companionship.
Support workers must also respect clients' privacy, dignity, and individuality, and communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. It's important for care workers to have the necessary training and qualifications, whilst following safeguarding procedures, as well as empathy and compassion, to provide high-quality care to those in need.
Helping care home residents with their personal care which includes getting dressed, washing and eating
Involvement with writing residents' care plans
Providing information to family members regarding the care plan
Ensuring that the resident's needs and wishes are met
Working with other health and social care professionals to provide holistic care
Recording and reporting essential information in the residents' daily reports accurately and immediately (communication systems, care and health monitoring, accident and incident reports)
Administering medication under supervision (as detailed in their individual medication administration record)
Gently encouraging residents to get involved with recreational activities and hobbies
Giving feedback to health and social care professionals

Experience and Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in health and social care desirable
A minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role and setting
Good communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft 360 and confident with using digital devices
Working pattern: Monday to Sunday (Days/Nights)
Working hours per week: Full time 33 hours per week
Pension contribution
28 days annual leave including bank Holidays

Pay: 12.21 per hour
