Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for providing high-quality care to individuals in both care home and home care settings. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to individual care plans. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management. Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans as necessary. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the care environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.

A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents as needed. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and staff. Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and accessing care plans. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster positive relationships with residents and colleagues. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing person-centred support tailored to individual needs.
