Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, assisting with care plans, and promoting a positive living environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to drive are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff. Foster a warm and friendly atmosphere by engaging residents in conversation and activities. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment by adhering to health and safety protocols. Drive residents to appointments or outings as required, ensuring their comfort during travel.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. A valid driving licence is required for transporting residents. Proficiency in English is necessary for effective communication with residents and team members. Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and documentation. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families. Good English Communications and Good French speaking carers.
