Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Marchmont.
Main Responsibilities -
Assist/support residents with all aspects of personal care in accordance with individual needs. Assist/support residents in all aspects of care needs, including physical, emotional, social and spiritual, ensuring that they retain their comfort and dignity. Assist residents with individual dietary requirements ensuring preferences, special diets and any cultural dietary needs are respected. Assist in the serving of food and drink. Clean/wash up as required. Record dietary/fluid intake/output as instructed by senior staff. Carry out regular checks on residents at intervals determined by senior staff members Observe care planning needs for individual residents and complete written daily records as instructed and in line with company policies and procedures. Ensure correct use of equipment e.g. hoists and wheelchairs. Escort residents where required, to healthcare appointments and social events if required.
Essential:
Genuine interest in working within care of elderly persons
Ability to work as part of a team
Attending mandatory training
Willingness to attend vocational training programmes
Desired:
Have SVQ Level II or III or working towards minimum SVQ Level II.
Experience in working with elderly persons in a care setting
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From 12.80 per hour
Work Location: In person
