Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a supportive environment for individuals in need of assistance.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as required. Implement and follow personalised care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care are met. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as needed. Drive residents to appointments or social outings when required.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents and team members. Ability to follow care plans accurately and provide personalised support. A caring attitude with a passion for helping others is essential. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if necessary.
