Punjabi-Speaking Care Assistant - Domiciliary Care (Car Driver Required)

Overview:

We are currently seeking a

dedicated and compassionate Punjabi-speaking Care Assistant

to join our domiciliary care team. This role involves visiting clients in their own homes to support them with daily living tasks, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals to remain independent in their own homes.

Working Pattern:

Morning visits:

45 minutes

Evening visits:

35 minutes

Afternoon visits:

Vary between 2 to 3 hours

Working days:

Monday to Sunday (on a rota basis)

Key Responsibilities:

Support clients with personal care tasks including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming. Assist with meal preparation and feeding where necessary. Follow personalised care plans tailored to each client's individual needs and preferences. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental and emotional well-being. Help with mobility and safe moving and handling, using aids and equipment when required. Accompany clients to medical appointments or community activities. Perform light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. Record and report daily care activities and any changes in the client's condition or needs. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and high-quality care.

Requirements:

Experience in domiciliary care or a similar care setting is preferred, but not essential - full training will be provided.

Fluency in Punjabi

(spoken) is essential to support our local community. Basic English reading and writing skills to understand care plans and maintain records. Must be

a car driver with access to a vehicle

- travelling between client homes is required. Basic IT skills for logging visits and reporting notes. A caring, reliable, and respectful attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and follow care procedures accurately.

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
