Job Summary

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as necessary, promoting healthy eating habits. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in their condition to the healthcare team. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life. Drive clients to appointments or social outings when required, ensuring their comfort during travel. Collaborate with other staff members to develop and review individual care plans regularly. Ensure that the living environment is clean, safe, and conducive to the well-being of all residents.

Skills

Previous experience in a home care setting is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
