Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties

Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Support individuals with mobility and movement, ensuring their safety at all times Help with meal preparation and feeding as required Follow personalised care plans to meet each individual's specific needs Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in condition Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care Support clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring if necessary Assist with light domestic tasks including laundry and cleaning to promote a safe living environment Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required

Requirements

Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role Valid driving licence and ability to drive clients safely when needed Good understanding of care plans and ability to follow instructions accurately Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation Excellent communication skills with a caring and empathetic approach towards clients Reliable, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others' wellbeing
Pay: From 24,420.00 per year
