Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care home setting. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while assisting with daily activities.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring that all aspects of their health and well-being are addressed. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the supervising nurse or care manager. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities as required. Ensure that the living environment is clean, safe, and conducive to the health of all residents.

Skills

Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable. Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
