Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in both care home and home care settings. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal support, companionship, and assistance with daily activities.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the supervising nurse or manager. Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.

Skills

Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary. Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience while working with diverse individuals.
