Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by following health and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Document daily activities and any changes in residents' conditions accurately in care records. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents. Drive residents to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Skills

Proficiency in English for effective communication with residents and colleagues. Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with creating and following care plans to meet individual needs. Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate records and using care management software. Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
