We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities and promoting independence among those you care for.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in following their care plans and meeting their specific needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel. Ensure a clean and safe environment by following health and safety protocols. Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.

Skills

Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues. Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with following care plans is beneficial. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating via electronic systems.

A valid driving licence is required
