Previous care experience (preferable)
Relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care) are desirable but not mandatory; on-the-job training can be provided

Key Responsibilities:
Overnight Supervision:
Stay awake and vigilant throughout the night to monitor a couple, predominantly the husband who has (FTD) Frontotemporal dementia
Dementia Experience:
Must have previous experience of dementia (FTD) Frontotemporal dementia
Personal Care:
Assist with any personal care needs during the night
Emotional Support:
Provide companionship and emotional reassurance to clients who may be anxious or have difficulty sleeping
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to any medical or behavioural emergencies, following established protocols and alerting appropriate authorities if needed
Documentation:
Keep accurate records of the client's condition and any incidents that occur during the night, reporting these to the Care Manager or relevant health professionals
Household Assistance:
Perform light housekeeping duties as needed, such as tidying up, preparing simple snacks, or ensuring the environment is safe and clean
Communication:
Maintain clear and effective communication with the daytime care team, providing detailed handovers and updates on the clients status

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Awake Night Care Assistant to provide overnight care and support to a lovely clients in their home.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of clients throughout the night. This role requires attentiveness and the ability to respond quickly to any needs or emergencies that may arise during the night.
We look for people who are genuinely interested in care and our Care Assistants are passionate individuals with genuine empathy who enjoy making a difference to the lives of others, and in the community.
Please note that this position is for female carers only due to the family request.
