Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with daily activities and personal care, while fostering a positive and respectful environment.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in following their care plans to ensure individual needs are met. Help with mobility and transfers, providing physical support as required. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental well-being. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients. Drive to clients' homes if required for home care visits.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when necessary. Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are advantageous. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel to client locations. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
