Overview
We're currently looking for a confident, experienced Care Assistant to join a brilliant team in Caerphilly, Newbridge. You'll be supporting a bright and cheerful young girl with complex clinical needs in the comfort of her home. Your role is all about bringing structure, stability, and warmth to her day-to-day routine while providing specialist care that truly makes a difference.
You do need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle to work as a Care Assistant.
Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing 1:1 (moving to 2:1) support.
- Delivering safe, compassionate care tailored to complex medical needs
- Monitoring and managing seizure activity with confidence
- Assisting with PEG feeding, food and medication.
- Helping create fun, structured, and engaging daily experiences
- Collaborating with parents and the wider care team to provide holistic support
Experience
Previous experience home care setting is essential; training will be provided.
Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
A valid driving licence.
Familiarity with IT systems is beneficial for maintaining accurate records and communication within the team.
A caring attitude and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care are essential qualities for this role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 - 20 per week
