Job Title:

Home Carer (Domiciliary Care Worker)

Job Purpose:

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and supporting them to live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming. Support clients with mobility, including transferring, positioning, and use of mobility aids. Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met. Prompt or administer medication (in accordance with training and company policy). Provide emotional support and companionship. Assist with light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping. Monitor and report any changes in a client's condition or needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the manager. Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control procedures.

Requirements:

Essential:

Genuine passion for caring for others Good communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate Ability to work independently and as part of a team Right to work in the UK Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check

Desirable:

Previous experience in a care role (paid or unpaid) NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (if travel between homes is required) Knowledge of safeguarding and person-centred care

Working Conditions:

Work is based in clients' homes; travel between visits may be required. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. PPE and training provided.
