Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. Duties

Provide personal care and support to residents or clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the health or behaviour of clients to senior staff. Foster positive relationships with residents, promoting their dignity and independence while providing emotional support. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, which may include driving clients to appointments or social activities. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care is delivered effectively. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring all information is kept up-to-date and secure.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients, families, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation of clients. Familiarity with care plans and an understanding of individualised care approaches are advantageous. Proficiency in IT systems for documentation purposes is beneficial. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for success in this role.
