Job Description

Our Residential Care Home in Rushden is seeking both nights and day Care Assistant to join our friendly team.

Responsibilities

To attend to people's individual and personal care needs in accordance with care plans to ensure safety and care of vulnerable adults in residential care and to promote independence.

To contribute to individual care plans, record all activities and refer any issues of concern to the line manager / senior to ensure that the resident receives support and care appropriate to their needs, to enable vulnerable adults and promote their independence.

To safeguard residents by reporting any issues of concern to Team Leader / Manager in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures.

To provide practical support and assistance to vulnerable adults, their families and colleagues and deal with issues referred by other team members and agencies in order to provide a high quality residential care service.

Ensure that reasonable care is taken at all times for the health, safety and welfare of self and other persons, and to comply with the policies and procedures relating to health and safety within the service, including Infection Prevention and Control.

Carry out any other duties which fall within the broad spirit, scope and purpose of this job description.
