Belper Views Residential Home is a reputable 25-bed residential elderly care home dedicated to providing exceptional care in a warm and supportive environment.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team, taking a role in delivering high-quality care to our residents.

This is a fixed term role to cover maternity leave expected contract end date: May/June 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care:

Oversee and assist residents with daily personal care tasks while maintaining dignity and promoting independence.

Companionship:

Foster meaningful connections with residents through engaging conversations and activities, contributing to a supportive and friendly atmosphere.

Mobility Support:

Lead efforts to assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring safety and well-being.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of care activities, observations, and changes in residents' conditions.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and person-cantered care.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in a care or healthcare setting, with a focus on elderly care. Compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care. Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care and support to elderly individuals in a compassionate and respectful manner.

- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules.

- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients.

- Assist with housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up living spaces.

- Document client care activities accurately and timely.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience in a similar role preferred. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Compassionate and patient demeanour. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
