Inglewood is a small well-known care home in Streetly providing care for residents some who have dementia.

The position will require a flexible approach with weekend shifts.

Our night shift is 7pm - 7am

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated

Night Care Assistant

to join our team. In this overnight role, you will provide essential support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being during nighttime hours. You will also assist with light cleaning tasks and laundry to help maintain a clean and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care and support to residents throughout the night, including assistance with toileting, repositioning, and responding to call bells. Monitor residents' well-being, carrying out regular checks and reporting any concerns to senior staff. Support with bedtime routines and ensure a peaceful, restful environment. Carry out light cleaning duties including tidying communal areas, emptying bins, and wiping down surfaces. Assist with overnight laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, Ironing and storing linens and clothing. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation. Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families to promote a supportive and respectful atmosphere. Follow all health and safety guidelines, safeguarding procedures, and infection control protocols.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a care environment is Prefered Kind, patient, and empathetic nature. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. Good communication and observational skills. Physical ability to carry out care tasks and be on your feet for extended periods.
