Care Assistant (Nights)

Working hours:

Night shifts are 8pm - 8am. Required to work every other weekend.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and conscientious care assistant to join and strengthen our friendly team. We're seeking a caring and compassionate individual who enjoys interacting with residents and assisting them with their daily living activities. Candidates must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing our residents with high quality care and support. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, well-organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Proven experience in working with residents, in either a paid or voluntary capacity, is desirable for this role.

Your Responsibilities:

Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting. Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, dusting, vacuuming and changing bed linens. Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of clients. Accompany clients to medical appointments. Observe, monitor and record clients' physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff. Encourage clients to participate in social and recreational activities

Desirable Skills:

NVQ/QCF Level 2 or equivalent Previous experience as a care worker or as an unpaid carer Knowledge of how to recognise abuse and safeguarding procedures Working knowledge of health and safety matters relating to care Flexible approach to working A Portable DBS would be preferred

Required:

Be willing to achieve NVQ/QCF level 2 or higher Clean background check. Interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures.
