Burnside Care Home is set in a pleasant semi-rural location in the pleasant town of Laurencekirk. The home enjoys a lovely setting with many wonderful views out to open countryside and rolling landscapes. The home is a purpose-built modern property that has undergone additional improvements in recent years. With fifty-seven private rooms, all with en-suite facilities, the home is designed with the needs of older people in mind, with comfortable and homely lounge areas to relax in and comfortably socialise with others as well as plenty of natural light. All surroundings are of a high quality and there are outdoor areas and gardens to take in fresh air and enjoy the seasons. There is plenty of parking for visiting family and friends. The home is also a short walk from the High Street with its shops and amenities.
To ensure we meet the care needs of our residents there is a requirement to maintain a mix of male and female employees on night shifts. As part of this vacancy, we require female employees for night duty as part of the scheduled rota.

Requirements
Duties will include but not limited to:
Support Service Users with all aspects of daily living, ensuring comfort, dignity, and high levels of care
Assist with physical, emotional, and spiritual care needs
Help Service Users with limited mobility or learning difficulties, using aids appropriately
Monitor and support Service Users with confusion or behavioural issues
Promote continence and assist with end-of-life care and last offices
Follow care plans and maintain accurate daily records
Respond to Nurse Calls, door, and phone, passing messages promptly
Report on Service Users' well-being and perform regular checks
Make and change beds, keep rooms clean, and dispose of waste properly
Clean and maintain personal equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, hearing aids)
Respect privacy and dignity, especially for dying or bereaved Service Users
Support during meals, considering dietary needs and swallowing difficulties
Record accidents and incidents in a timely manner
