What will you be doing?
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide companionship and emotional support, helping to promote independence and dignity.
Support residents with mobility assistance, including the use of equipment such as hoists.
Help with meal preparation and feeding, considering dietary needs and preferences.
Carry out light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Escort residents to appointments and outings.
Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to healthcare professionals.
Accurately document care provided, adhering to confidentiality and data protection standards.
What experience do you need?
Thanks to our strong training team, previous care experience is not essential. We welcome individuals who are:
- Compassionate and empathetic.
- Excellent communicators with a can-do attitude.
- Willing to learn and grow within the role.
Experience in home care, residential care, or related fields is beneficial. Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and patient monitoring techniques is desirable but not required.
Where will you be working?
You will be based at The Elms Residential Home, reporting to the Registered Manager. You'll join a supportive team committed to empowering recovery and encouraging independence in a residential or nursing environment.
Shift patterns include weekdays and weekends, with a mix of the following shifts:
- Night Shift: 20:00 to 8:00

Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with residents.
Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
Ability to follow care plans and adapt to individual needs.
Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting and mobility support.
