Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to individuals in need. This position involves supporting clients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and promoting their independence. You will work closely with clients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments, to deliver personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting healthy eating habits. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the relevant healthcare professionals. Engage clients in social activities and companionship to enhance their quality of life. Drive to clients' homes or care facilities as necessary, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Experience or knowledge of home care practices is advantageous. Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately while being attentive to the specific needs of each client. Basic written skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Previous experience in a care home setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
