Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with specific needs such as dementia care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of patient care and be skilled in various aspects of caregiving, including meal preparation, medication administration, and behaviour management.

Requirements

Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Experience in nursing homes or similar settings is advantageous. Ability to manage behaviours effectively, particularly for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

Serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments or social activities. Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals as necessary. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met. Document daily activities and observations in accordance with organisational policies.
