Overview

Wemyss Lodge is a Nursing and Complex Care Home. Our staff work in partnership to achieve the best for our residents. We have beds providing nursing, respite, Dementia, Mental Health and complex care units.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our residents.

Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our residents. To show empathy and have a warm compassionate nature.

Our staff help to promote independence and positively enhance the residents lives, because they are the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents in following their individual care plans to meet their specific needs. Maintain accurate records of residents progress and any changes in condition Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills are required for effective interaction with residents and team members. Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining records and documentation accurately. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.25 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
