Salary: 12.71 per hour



Contract type: Permanent




Working hours: 20 hours per week




About the role



We are looking for a positive and dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our team at Walsall Domiciliary Care, working 20 hours per week. Walsall Domiciliary Care provides care and support packages to older adults, including those with dementia across 3 assisted living services in Walsall.

As a Night Care Assistant, your role will be to ensure that the customers are supported and safe throughout the night, this will include responding to any emergency situations that may arise. You must be a team player and able to cope well under pressure. As a Night Care Assistant, you will be required to adhere to any security measures


Excellent communication skills are required both verbal and written as you will be maintaining and updating records.


In your new role as Care Assistant, you will:




Build relationships with customers, which are open and two way Support customers to undertake their daily routines Establish methods of communication with customers, reducing barriers when necessary Accurately report and/or record work activities Support with activities of daily living & personal care Assist customers with mealtimes where necessary

Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.



About you



Experience working within a Care environment (Advantageous but not essential as full induction training will be given)


A warm hearted, friendly manner, patience, kindness and good communication, a willingness to help others, requiring patience

The ability to be a natural care giver and someone who can communicate in an open and honest manner with your colleagues, residents and their visitors
