Job Description

We are a residential care home based in Horndean, currently seeking a dedicated night carer to join our team.

Night shifts run from 8:00pm to 8:00am, and we are ideally looking for someone with prior experience working night shifts in a small to medium-sized care home setting.

This role is for two nights per week, including alternate weekend nights.

Our clients are elderly and have memory problems and we have two cats, whom they adore.

NVQ level 2 or 3 is preferred but training will be given. Several of our staff have started apprenticeships for level 3 & 4 this year. We currently do online and face to face training during the year.

Duties

Provide a caring and welcoming face to our residents and enjoy making them feel safe at night, knowing who's looking after them. Monitor and report any changes in the residents' health and well being and be experienced in dealing with night time emergencies and phone calls to 111. Monitor and report any changes in the residents' health and well being to the shift leader, the following morning. Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals, following in-house training Provide personal care and assistance to our residents Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Help with making mealtimes special and helping those who need the extra help.

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
