We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Assistant to support individuals in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults living with a cognitive impairment and possess strong communication skills. This role involves assisting with personal care, care plans, ensuring the well-being of residents, and providing a safe and nurturing environment.
Duties
Support vulnerable adults in daily activities, promoting their independence and personal development.
Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain a clean and organised living space, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met.
Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support to residents.
Requirements
Previous experience in childcare or working with children is essential.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and families.
Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
