Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in their homes or care facilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a supportive environment for our clients.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in activities and social events. Follow individual care plans to deliver personalised support tailored to each client's needs. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised environment.

Requirements

Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members. Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not mandatory. Familiarity with IT systems for documentation and communication purposes is an advantage. Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise with clients from diverse backgrounds. A valid UK driving licence is required. A commitment to providing high-quality care with respect for client dignity and privacy.
