Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans meticulously while fostering a supportive environment for clients.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in activities. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the supervising nurse or manager. Follow individual care plans and adjust support as necessary to meet the evolving needs of clients. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients as needed. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
