Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals in care homes or through home care services. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for this role, as it may involve travel between locations.

Duties

Provide personal care and support to residents or clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times. Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, regularly updating them in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the health or wellbeing of clients to the appropriate personnel. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional wellbeing. Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents or clients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication tasks. A valid driving licence is advantageous for this role due to potential travel requirements. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
