Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a care home environment. You will assist with daily living activities, support care plans, and foster a positive atmosphere for all individuals in your care. Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members are essential.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents with mobility and transportation needs, including driving when necessary. Help implement and maintain individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care. Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home. Document any changes in residents' conditions or behaviours accurately and promptly. Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to care practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. A strong understanding of IT systems for documentation and communication purposes is beneficial. Excellent verbal communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with residents and colleagues. A genuine passion for providing compassionate care and support to individuals is essential for success in this role.

Pay: 12.60-17.10 per hour
