We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. You will be responsible for assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while fostering a supportive environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans are essential for this role.
Duties
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each resident.
Utilise IT systems to document care details and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
Experience
Previous experience of a least 6 months in a care home or home care setting is essential; training will be provided.
Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with residents and colleagues.
Familiarity with IT systems is beneficial for maintaining accurate records and communication within the team.
