Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to implement care plans effectively. A driving licence is preferred for this position, as it may involve transporting residents for appointments or activities.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in care practices. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently when required. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents as needed. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.
